Frequently Asked Questions About Tchaba Speciali-Tea

What is the Tchaba Speciali-Tea collection?

It is a curated range of teas that require distinctive preparation techniques or presentation styles, inspired by time honored traditions from around the world. Each product is chosen not only for taste but also for the cultural or sensory experience it delivers.

Which types of teas are included?
  • Shai Karak – A slow-brewed spiced tea with milk and sugar, rich and velvety, perfect for sharing.
  • Moroccan Mint Tea – Made with gunpowder green tea and fresh mint (or Tchaba Organic Spearmint), traditionally poured from a height for aeration and aroma.
  • Cold Brew Teas – Naturally caffeine-free, steeped in cold water for hours to draw out natural sweetness without bitterness. Perfect for children and adults, ideal for hydration throughout the day.
  • Blooming Flower Teas – Hand-tied tea bundles that blossom into artful displays when infused, captivating both eye and palate.
  • Mate (Maté) – A South American infusion served in a calabash gourd and sipped through a bombilla straw, offering earthy depth and sustained energy.
What makes Tchaba Speciali-Tea different from regular tea?

Speciali-Tea blends require unique preparation methods  from simmering milk-based Shai Karak to pouring Moroccan Mint Tea from a height offering flavors and cultural experiences that go beyond everyday brewing.

Is Tchaba’s Cold Brew Tea really caffeine-free?

Yes. Our Cold Brew range is naturally caffeine-free, making it suitable for children, adults, and anyone seeking a refreshing hydration option without stimulants.

Can I make Shai Karak without sugar?

Yes. While traditional Shai Karak includes sugar, you can reduce or omit it based on your preference. The spices in Tchaba’s Karak Mix still deliver a rich, warming flavor.

How is authentic Moroccan Mint Tea prepared?

It begins with rinsing gunpowder green tea leaves, brewing them briefly, adding fresh mint and sugar, then aerating by pouring from a height for a signature frothy top.

What is the benefit of aerating Moroccan Mint Tea?

Aeration blends the tea, mint, and sugar evenly, cools the drink slightly for immediate serving, and creates the traditional foam associated with Moroccan tea culture.

How long should I steep Tchaba Cold Brew Tea?

For best flavor, steep a 5g Tchaba Cold Brew Sachet in 500ml cold water for 4–6 hours, or overnight for a more intense infusion.

What is Mate tea and how do you drink it?

Mate is a South American infusion made from yerba mate leaves, traditionally served in a calabash gourd and sipped through a bombilla. It’s known for its earthy flavor and natural energy boost.

Can Blooming Flower Teas be reused for multiple infusions?

Yes. Blooming Flower Teas can often be steeped 2–3 times in hot water, with each infusion releasing a slightly different flavor profile while maintaining their visual beauty.

Which Speciali-Tea is best for hospitality service?

Shai Karak and Moroccan Mint Tea are popular in hotels, restaurants, and cafés due to their strong cultural connections, presentation value, and memorable guest experience.

Does Tchaba ship Speciali-Tea blends internationally?

Yes. Availability depends on local stock and import regulations, but many Speciali-Tea products can be shipped to the UAE, GCC, and selected international destinations.
